On December 5, 2016 at 7:24 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST), customers using the Smartsheet application may have experienced application slowness or errors when attempting to load or save sheets.
Our operations team discovered a condition causing network saturation and took action to reduce the load on the system at 8:20 AM PST. The shutdown of these backend systems caused delays for Webhooks, Connectors (Jira and Salesforce integration), and Resource Views.
At 8:42 AM PST our operations team made a configuration change that allowed the system to return to a normal operational state. At 9:45 AM PST we determined that the system had stabilized and we resumed operations for the suspended services. We have continued to monitor systems since this time and they have operated as expected.
