Postmortem

Between July 5, 2022 4 pm PDT and July 6, 2022 6 pm PDT, RM by Smartsheet had degraded performance in processing some actions. Upon making updates to resource management schedules, customers experienced delays in receiving email notifications and activity feed updates, and processing of webhooks. We resolved the issue by increasing the capacity of the system processing these actions. The backlog of pending actions was cleared at July 8, 2022 8:45 pm PDT.
We are making improvements based on our learnings from the incident to avoid similar incidents in the future.

Monitoring

A Mitigation is underway and we are monitoring to ensure the continued stability of the Resource Management service. Notification feed, email notifications, and webhook deliveries are currently affected. Some emails and notifications may still be delayed.
