Dashboards are slow to load and edit

Postmortem

On July 7, 2021, at roughly 9:15 AM PDT, we noticed customer reports of performance issues while loading and editing Dashboards. Our investigation determined that dashboards with many metric and shortcut widgets experienced the most latency when widgets were being resized. At approximately 10:22 AM PDT, the team deployed a fix that returned performance to previous levels. We monitored post-deployment, had no additional reports from customers, and marked the issue as resolved.
